Phrozen Sonic XL 4K Dental 3D Printer – WIFI Connectivity – High resolution – Large Build Volume Volume
The larger-format, precise LCD Dental 3D printer is designed to give dental professionals a comprehensive toolkit for their clinic and laboratory needs. A sizable build chamber coupled with a 4K LCD screen makes the Sonic XL 4K one of Phrozen’s more capable resin systems.
The 4K monochrome LCD screen only allows white light to pass as opposed to the standard RGB spectrum, resulting in a rapid cure time of 1 second per 50 microns. The LCD screen is also reinforced, giving it strength, additional pressure resistance, and a long operational life of ~2000 hours. A 50 micron XY resolution, with layer thicknesses ranging from 10 – 300 microns, delivers sharp resin prints for professional applications.
Description
Vat photopolymerization with Phrozen
The Taiwanese manufacturer already has an extensive arsenal of LCD resin machines. Phrozen’s Shuffle series is the company’s most versatile, with the Shuffle Lite providing a value entry point into resin printing. The Shuffle 4K sports a 4K LCD screen, giving dental clinics and labs the ability to produce prints of the highest precision and crispness. The Shuffle XL is the series’ large-format printer, catering to professional high-volume production needs.
The new Sonic XL 4K will be the third entry in the company’s Sonic series, which is focused on rapid cure times without the sacrifice of quality. The systems in this series feature Phrozen’s new monochrome LCD screens, which claim to cure 50 micron layers in just 1 second. Finally, Phrozen’s standalone Transform 3D printer is its largest yet, with a build volume of 290 x 160 x 400mm.
The Sonic XL 4K
The Sonic XL 4K, on paper, covers all bases. The printing volume comes in at 190 x 120 x 200mm, giving users the benefit of high output production. The machine’s body stands at 290 x 330 x 470mm and weighs in at 19.5kg, leaving ample space for the printer’s multitude of connectivity options, which include USB, microSD, ethernet, and Wi-Fi.
A ParaLED array matrix under the LCD screen enables complete UV light uniformity, ensuring consistent quality across all areas of the build plate. The new array also results in improved thermal dissipation across the build area. Resins curable at 405nm are suitable for the Sonic XL 4K, with more materials being tested by Phrozen, including bio-compatible resins. Everything the user needs to post-process their prints comes included in the box, alongside a free license of the Phrozen 3D Pro slicer.
